As Acute Intake Manager, you’ll lead the front-end referral and admissions process to ensure timely pull-through to care, while building a high-performing team and maintaining compliant workflows.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience managing acute infusion or specialty therapy referrals, care coordination, or prescription services
• 3-5 years of reimbursement, payer, or authorization experience across Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial plans
• Bachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent experience)
• Advanced computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, CareTend) and willingness to travel up to 5%

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the front-end referral and admissions process to ensure timely care
• Manage and develop the Acute Intake / Referral Management team with clear metrics and goals
• Establish and maintain intake workflows, documentation standards, and compliance
• Collaborate with Pharmacy Services, Nursing, Sales, and leadership for seamless outcomes
• Serve as escalation point for intake and referral issues with urgency and accountability
• Monitor SLAs, referral volumes, and payer performance; adjust staffing as needed
• Support accreditation, quality improvement activities, audits, and HIPAA practices
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and lead change for patients, providers, and teammates
