Job summary

Ascension Providence in Waco, TX is hiring a Speech-Language Pathologist for acute care. The role provides therapy interventions, patient and family education, and discharge planning within a hospital setting.

You will maintain clinical records and participate in performance improvement activities to ensure high-quality care. Requirements include a Texas SLP license (or intern), BLS certification, and the ability to work full-time in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Texas licensing as Speech-Language Pathologist or intern in process.
• BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs therapy interventions utilizing standard therapy techniques for patient condition.
• Educates and counsels patient and family regarding treatment plans.
• Maintains clinical records and follows performance improvement recommendations.
• Plans and/or assists with discharge from speech therapy services and discusses support programs.

Education

Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist credential (Texas SLP Board, or Intern)

BLS Provider (American Heart Association/Red Cross)

High School diploma equivalency / Associate or 4 years experience
