Job summary

Qualifications

• Current Speech-Language Pathologist license in the State of New Jersey or Pennsylvania, based on work location.
• Master’s Degree preferred.
• CPR certification and required affiliations/CEUs to maintain licensure.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge of Speech-Language Pathology in Acute Care and prioritizes evaluations and interventions to move patients toward next level of care.
• Performs speech therapy evaluations using reliable methods relevant to chief complaint and patient history.
• Collaborate with patient, family, and multidisciplinary team to establish an appropriate plan of care.
• Identifies need for reevaluation based on progress and patient status.
• Provide timely communication to healthcare providers to facilitate discharge.
• Make discharge recommendations based on impairments and functional outcomes.

Education

SLP License NJ/PA (based on location)

Master’s Degree preferred
