Alpha Home Health and Hospice is seeking an Acute Hospital Speech Therapist to provide high-quality speech-language pathology services for adult and geriatric patients in an acute care setting. The role emphasizes assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders, with collaboration across physicians, nursing and rehabilitation teams.

The therapist will develop individualized plans, document care in the EHR, and educate patients and families

• Strong clinical judgment in speech-language pathology.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of communication, cognition, and swallowing function.
• Develop evidence-based, individualized treatment plans.
• Deliver therapy to support safe swallowing, effective communication, and functional independence.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and rehabilitation teams.
• Document clinical care in the EHR.
• Educate patients and families on communication and swallowing strategies.
• Participate in quality and safety initiatives within a patient-centered, compassionate approach.
