Job summary

Palmetto General Hospital in Florida seeks a Registered Nurse to deliver quality care using the nursing process across Medical/Surgical, Telemetry, or Step Down units. You will communicate with physicians on patient status and participate in CQI activities.

Must be able to respond quickly to changes in condition under supervision. Ideal candidate has telemetry experience and a nursing degree from an approved program, with basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• One year acute care experience preferred.
• Telemetry course or experience in telemetry.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Graduate from an approved nursing educational program as defined by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Communicate changes in patient condition to physicians, including diagnostic results and symptoms.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
• Perform general nursing duties in all departments with adequate supervision.
• Participate in performance improvement and CQI activities.
