Job summary

Palmetto General Hospital in Florida is seeking an experienced Telemetry Nurse to deliver quality care using assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. You will provide direct and indirect patient care on the Telemetry Unit and communicate with physicians about changes in the patient’s condition.

The role requires a Florida RN license, BLS, telemetry training or experience, and a graduate nursing program.

Qualifications

• One year acute care experience preferred.
• Telemetry course/or experience in telemetry.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Graduate from an approved nursing educational program as defined by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN)

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care on the Telemetry Unit.
• Communicate changes in patient’s condition to physicians.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
• Perform general nursing duties in all departments with supervision.
• Participate in performance improvement and CQI activities.
