Job summary

Palmetto-General-Hospital is seeking a Telemetry Unit nurse to deliver quality care through the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation and reevaluation. The ideal candidate has RN licensure in Florida, BLS certification, telemetry coursework or equivalent telemetry experience, and at least one year of acute care

Qualifications

• Minimum one year acute care experience preferred.
• Telemetry course or experience in telemetry.
• Basic computer literacy.
• Graduate from an approved nursing educational program as defined by the NCSBN.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care in the Telemetry Unit.
• Communicate with physicians about changes in patient condition and diagnostic results.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
• Participate in performance improvement and CQI activities.
