Qualifications

• Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to work in a stressful fast-paced environment.
• Ability to respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition.
• Ability to work harmoniously and effectively with others.
• Two years of nursing experience, particularly Telemetry.
• One year in Step Down unit.
• Clinical competence.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Completion of Critical Course preferred.
• Graduate from an approved nursing educational program as defined by the NCSBN.

Responsibilities

• Delivers advanced professional and technical nursing care to adult and geriatric patients.
• Collaborates with multidisciplinary team members per unit standards.
• Prepares equipment and assists physicians during treatments and examinations.
• Assists in planning, supervising, and instructing secretaries and Nursing Assistants to provide care to multiple patients.
• Incorporates critical thinking into patient care and may modify the care plan based on evaluations.
• Exhibits professionalism and delivers excellent customer service; responds to emergencies and critical incidents as required.
