Job summary

Bronson Healthcare is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Acute Care Unit on a PRN basis in South Haven. Under supervision, manage patient care from admission to discharge, coordinating with a multidisciplinary team and utilizing electronic health records for planning and documentation.

The role requires RN licensure in Michigan, an associate degree (BSN preferred), BLS, and potentially CC/ALS depending on unit.

Qualifications

• Licensed Registered Nurse in good standing for Michigan.
• Associate degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred, within 8 years of hire.
• BLS certification required; Critical Care/ALS may be needed for some units.
• Electronic Fetal Monitoring Certification required within 6 months.
• Proficient in reading and analyzing data from computer systems.
• Clear verbal, written, and electronic communication.
• Ability to perform lifting and other physical tasks as specified.

Responsibilities

• Apply nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
• Coordinate care with multidisciplinary team and delegate tasks within scope.
• Document patient responses, resource use, and needs during each tour.
• Use electronic health records to support care planning and delivery.
• Oversee nursing interventions, medications, and evidence‑based practices.
• Educate patients and plan discharge with patient/family input.
• Participate in quality improvement activities and unit meetings.
• Collaborate with physicians and staff; may assist in scrub duties as needed.
• Fulfill on‑call duties and support across Bronson facilities.
