Job summary

MyMichigan Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver direct patient care, triage, obtain histories and vital signs, and assess patients. The RN will act independently in life-threatening situations and provide physical and psychological comfort to patients and families, while supporting discharge and follow-up instructions.

The role requires extensive nursing skills, performance of multiple procedures, and collaboration with physicians and the care team in a high-stress environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree Nursing required; Michigan licensure expected.

Responsibilities

• Performs nursing assessments, intervenes appropriately, and participates in care planning.
• Regularly assesses patient’s needs and provides skilled nursing services as prescribed by physician-approved plan of care.
• Processes physician orders accurately and follows up regarding medication changes and order clarifications.
• Evaluates effectiveness of treatment plan and suggests or facilitates changes to improve patient care.
• Updates the treatment plan in collaboration with other team members using current information.
