Job summary

MyMichigan Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide direct patient care in a fast-paced hospital setting. The role involves triaging patients, obtaining history, monitoring vitals, and initiating urgent care when needed.

The nurse will support discharge planning and family education in collaboration with the care team. Required credentials include RN licensure with BLS; ACLS, TNCC, PALS, ENPC, NIMS are expected within specified timeframes.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of nursing skills normally acquired through 2 years experience in a medical center or similar setting.
• Weekend RN positions require a minimum of two years experience.
• BLS, ACLS, TNCC, PALS, ENPC, NIMS certifications are preferred/required within specified time frames.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments, intervene, and participate in care planning.
• Provide skilled nursing services per physician plan of care and standards.
• Process orders accurately and follow up on medication changes and clarifications.
• Evaluate treatment effectiveness and suggest plan changes.
