Job summary

UHS is seeking an experienced RN to lead nursing care for patients with medical or surgical needs. The role focuses on assessment, planning, guidance, and evaluation of nursing care within facility policies and philosophy.

The RN provides professional leadership, ensuring safe, high-quality patient care and collaboration with the healthcare team. Weekend/evening coverage may be required; commitment to service excellence is essential.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse licensed in the State of Texas or compact state; valid temporary license allowed during transition.
• BSN preferred.
• Must have and maintain BLS and current certifications per unit needs.

Responsibilities

• Manage patients admitted or seen for medical conditions or surgical procedures.
• Provide safe, competent nursing care in line with facility policies and philosophy.
• Lead and support the healthcare team and oversee nursing staff under supervision.
• Communicate with hospital staff and ancillary departments to address patient care concerns and resolutions.
• May require working weekends, holidays, evenings, nights, or on-call as needed.
• Demonstrate Service Excellence standards at all times.

Education

Texas RN license (or compact state)

Nursing degree (ADN/BSN/Diploma)
