Job summary

The Valley Health System in Nevada is seeking a qualified registered nurse to provide safe, patient-centered care in an acute-care setting. You will lead a healthcare team, adhere to hospital policies, and support clinical operations.

Ideal candidates have an RN license in Nevada, BSN preferred, and current BLS/ACLS/PALS or NRP as required. A pre-employment assessment is required, and opportunities for ongoing education are available.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing and completion of a Specialty course/ or equivalent within 6 months of hire.
• Experience: One-year acute care experience or successful completion of an approved specialty course within 6 months of hire.
• License/Certification: Current RN license in the State of Nevada. Current BLS Certification. Current ACLS Certification (adult patients), current PALS Certification (pediatric patients) or current NRP Certification (Neonatal patients) as required by department.
• Other: Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility.
• Note: The Nevada State Board of Nursing must grant an interim RN license.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy.
• Provide professional leadership and support to the healthcare team.
• The concepts of Patient Centered Care will provide the foundation for all nursing care.
• Oversees and guides employees that are under his/her supervision.
• Demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times.
