Job summary

Kindred Hospital Westminster is seeking an experienced registered nurse to provide direct patient care and lead the nursing team. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients, coordinating with physicians and staff to ensure high-quality outcomes.

The role requires active RN licensure, BLS certification, and a focus on safety, communication, and discharge planning to support extended recovery timelines.

Qualifications

• Postsecondary certificate, diploma, or program graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
• RN licensure in state or compact licensure required upon hire.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Six months of Medical/Surgical nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct, supervise, and evaluate nursing care.
• Develop and update patient care plans in coordination with the patient and family.
• Administer medications following the five rights of medication administration.
• Communicate changes in patient condition to physicians and nursing staff.
• Participate in discharge planning and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Provide end-of-shift reports and ensure accurate documentation.
