Job summary

Kindred Hospital Indianapolis is seeking a registered nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care in a long-term acute care setting. You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care as part of a collaborative interdisciplinary team.

The role requires an active RN license, BCLS on hire, and at least six months of medical/surgical experience. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential for safe patient care and effective discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Must have nursing education: Postsecondary certificate, diploma, or program graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• RN licensure in state or compact state (Required upon hire).
• Basic Life Support (BCLS) required upon hire; ACLS preferred.
• Six months Medical/Surgical nursing experience preferred.
• Must read, write and speak fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Provides planning and delivery of direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process.
• Develops nursing care plans in coordination with patient, family and interdisciplinary staff.
• Communicates changes in patient condition with Physicians and nursing staff; participates in discharge planning.
