Job summary

Trinity Health in Des Moines is seeking a dedicated Acute Care RN for full-time night shift. You will provide safe, culturally competent care for medical and surgical patients, supervise nursing staff, and communicate with physicians and families.

The role emphasizes evidence-based practice, discharge planning, and coordination with Case Management and other disciplines. The position requires an Iowa RN license (Illinois license if practicing there), BLS, and clinical competency in telemetry and

Qualifications

Associate degree in nursing required.
BSN preferred.
Current Iowa RN license; Illinois license if working in IL; BLS required.
ACLS required only if the unit has telemetry monitoring capabilities.
Mandatory Reporter training completed within three months of hire.

Responsibilities

Perform initial patient assessment and determine care needs.
Develop and implement outcome-based plans of care with a multidisciplinary team.
Coordinate and delegate nursing duties to ensure safe patient care.
Monitor telemetry and respond to cardiac events as needed.
Communicate effectively with physicians, patients, and families.
Document care accurately and adhere to policies and safety standards.
