Job summary

Qualifications

• California RN license required or active
• BSN preferred; if not on hire, may obtain within 5 years
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS within 30 days of hire
• PALS and NRP must be AHA certified at start date

Responsibilities

• Planning delivery of patient care for the shift; assist charge nurse
• Precepting and competency validation for new hires
• Teaching nursing students
• Delegating to RNs, LVNs, CNAs as needed
• Coordinating assigned team and communicating expectations
• Identifying improvement opportunities and reporting via chain of command
• Other duties as assigned

Education

California Registered Nurse License

BSN preferred

Active BLS/ACLS/NIHSS within 30 days of hire

PALS and NRP AH certified
