Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred; BSN preferred if not hired, will obtain within 5 years.
• 1 year clinical acute care experience preferred; ortho/stroke experience advantageous.
• Cardiac Cath Lab: 1 year ICU/ER plus 1 year IR/EP/Cath Lab experience preferred.
• Med/Surg: 2 years orthopedic/medical-surgical experience preferred; related certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver patient care for each shift under supervision of the charge nurse.
• Precept and validate competency of new hires and procedures.
• Teach nursing students and coordinate team communications.
• Coordinate care delivery and improve unit services with leadership and other departments.
