Job summary

The Valley Health System—Summerlin Hospital in Las Vegas, NV is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide safe, competent nursing care and lead the healthcare team in a high-volume acute care setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing. BSN preferred.
• One-year full time or three years part time experience in acute care setting preferred.
• Current RN license in the state of Nevada.
• Current BLS Certification, Current PALS Certification (pediatric patients) or current NRP Certification (Neonatal patients) as required by department.
• Other certification may be required by facility, specialty, or department.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy.
• Provide professional leadership and support to the healthcare team.
• The concepts of Patient Centered Care will provide the foundation for all nursing care.
• Oversees and guides employees that are under his/her supervision.
• Demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times.
