Job summary

The Valley Health System is seeking a registered nurse at Summerlin Hospital in Las Vegas to provide safe, competent nursing care in a busy acute care setting. The role includes professional leadership and guiding the healthcare team within facility policies and patient-centered care principles.

Candidates should have a Nevada RN license, BLS, and ACLS/PALS/NRP as required, with a BSN preferred and at least one year of acute care experience. Pre-employment assessments may be required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing and completion of a Specialty course/ or equivalent within 6 months of hire. BSN preferred.
• One-year acute care experience or successful completion of an approved specialty course within 6 months of hire.
• Current RN license in the State of Nevada. Current BLS Certification. Current ACLS Certification (adult patients), current PALS Certification (pediatric patients) or current NRP Certification (Neonatal patients) as required by department.
• Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy.
• Provide professional leadership and support to the healthcare team.
• Oversees and guides employees that are under his/her supervision.
• Demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times.
