Job summary

CHRISTUS Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide competent patient care in a fast-paced clinical setting. You will work independently, assess needs, administer medications, document care, and educate patients and families as part of the nursing process.

Requirements include a BSN (preferred), 1 year of related nursing experience, current RN license (state of employment or compact), and active BLS; ACLS and PALS certifications are required or obtained within set timeframes.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred.
• 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Current RN license in state of employment or compact.
• ACLS and PALS certifications required or to be obtained within specified timeframes.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation.
• Administer medications and treatments; monitor side effects and effectiveness.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care given.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers; identify learning needs and resources.
