Job summary

CHRISTUS Health in Louisiana seeks a competent Registered Nurse to provide independent, high-quality care in a clinical setting. You will apply the nursing process, delegate appropriately, and coordinate with the care team to meet patient needs.

Requirements include BLS, RN licensure (state or compact), and ACLS; PALS/TNCC/TCAR/NRP/AWHONN FHM/STABLE credentials are expected within the indicated timeframes. The role is full-time with a 7AM-7PM schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, preferred.
• BLS required.
• RN license in state of employment or compact.
• ACLS certification required.
• PALS within 30 days of hire or within 90 days of hire.
• TNCC within 60 days of hire or within 18 months of hire.
• TCAR within 60 days of hire or within 18 months of hire.
• NRP within 30 days of hire or within 60 days of hire.
• AWHONN FHM within 30 days of hire or within 60 days of hire.
• STABLE (Neonatal Education) within 30 days of hire or within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Administer medications and treatments; monitor for side-effects and effectiveness.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given.
• Assess learning needs and educate patients, families, and/or caregivers.
