Job summary

Novant Health Brunswick Medical Center in Bolivia, NC is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Acute Care Unit. The role is a 1.0 FTE position with a day shift from 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM. You will be part of a supportive team focused on exceptional patient care and professional development.

The ideal candidate has graduate nursing education, an active RN license, and at least one year of acute care experience. A Bachelor's is preferred, and BLS certification is required to ensure safe, quality care

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
• 4 Year / Bachelor's Degree, preferred.
• If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates strong assessment skills to uncover the patient’s story and integrate data to determine care needs.
• Collaborates with patients and support systems to create individualized care plans with realistic goals.
• Acts as a patient advocate and executes the interdisciplinary care plan, prioritizing interventions and timely treatments.
• Administers and evaluates medications, provides routine nursing care, and responds in critical situations (e.g., CPR).
• Continuously assesses progress and adjusts the plan of care with the care team.
