AdventHealth Tampa is seeking a Registered Nurse for an acute care unit. The role emphasizes safety, collaboration with physicians and families, and execution of the nursing plan for patient care.

Ideal candidates hold an Associate’s Degree in Nursing, an active RN license, NCLEX certification, and 2+ years of acute care experience. BSN is preferred. Day shift, full-time position with strong benefits and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Associates of Nursing required.
• Bachelor’s of Nursing preferred.
• Must have NCLEX pass letter and active RN license.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to medication safety policies.
• Maintains professional rapport with physicians, patients, and families.
• Evaluates the nursing plan of care.
• Communicates patient responses to the medical nursing plan to team members.
• Participates in practice changes due to performance improvement activities.
• Demonstrates accurate documentation and monitoring.
• Supports quality standards and initiatives.
• Follows isolation and handwashing policies as per CDC guidance.
• Performs duties to ensure smooth department operation.
• Completes mandatory educational requirements.
• Demonstrates critical thinking skills.
• Records and accesses patient information in EMR.
• Sets and achieves patient goals based on assessment and diagnosis.
• Assists providers with bedside procedures.
