Job summary

Parkridge Medical Center in Chattanooga, TN seeks an Acute Care RN to deliver direct patient care within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act. You will participate in a multidisciplinary team, monitor patient status, and educate patients and families as part of a coordinated care plan.

The role emphasizes safety, therapeutic communication, and contributing to performance improvement aligned with the hospital’s mission and values.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current licensure with Tennessee Board of Nursing.
• Current BLS certification.
• ACLS within 6 months of hire.
• One year of clinical nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess plans and evaluate patient care needs and carry out physician orders.
• Administer prescribed medications, change dressings, cleanse wounds, and monitor vital signs.
• Monitor, record and communicate patient condition using computerized documentation.
• Instruct and educate patients and families as part of a Multidisciplinary Care Planning team.

Education

Registered Nurse license

Tennessee Board of Nursing licensure

BLS certification

ACLS certification (within 6 months)

Clinical nursing experience (1 year preferred)
