Job summary

Kindred Hospital Baldwin Park is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct and indirect patient care in an acute care setting. The role supports planning, delivering, and evaluating nursing care through the nursing process with the care team.

NP care plans are developed with input from patients and families; medication administration adheres to safety protocols. ACLS may be preferred; BCLS required upon hire.

Qualifications

• Must read, write and speak fluent English.
• Six months of Medical/Surgical nursing experience preferred.
• Registered Nurse license in state of practice; BCLS required; ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process (Assessment, Planning, Intervention, Evaluation).
• Develop and coordinate nursing care plans with patients, families and the care team.
• Administer medications using five rights and document accurately.
• Collaborate with physicians and other staff; participate in discharge planning.
