Job summary

Kindred Hospital Baldwin Park is seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant to support the nursing team in a 91-bed acute care and rehabilitation setting. You will assist patients with daily living activities, monitor vitals, help with transfers, provide basic care, and ensure a clean, safe environment under RN supervision.

Required credentials include a valid CNA certificate in California, BLS, and at least six months of acute or long-term care experience; strong communication and teamwork

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent including education equivalent to completion of secondary school or demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the role. (Preferred)
• Current Nursing Assistant Certification
• BLS Certification
• Minimum six months’ experience in acute or long-term care facility.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff in patient care and daily living activities.
• Record vital signs and observations; document timely.
• Prepare patient rooms and equipment; ensure cleanliness.
• Assist with admissions, transfers, discharges, and personal belongings.
• Respond to call lights and paging; support patients.
• Assist with routine treatment procedures under RN/LVN/LPN supervision.
• Assist with patient meals and feeding as needed.
