Qualifications

• Graduate of a two-year AMA-approved respiratory therapy program leading to CRT or RRT eligibility.
• Current state license or certification as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
• Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine respiratory therapy procedures including oxygen therapy and nebulizer treatments.
• Assists with emergency interventions like manual resuscitation and code response.
• Manages mechanical ventilators and adjusts parameters as needed.
• Obtains and interprets arterial blood gases and communicates results.
• Conducts pulmonary function testing and identifies life-threatening arrhythmias.
