Job summary

St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to perform, assist, and instruct in therapeutic and diagnostic respiratory care for inpatients and outpatients, from infants to adults.

Responsibilities include airway management, ventilation support, and patient education, with a focus on evidence-based best practices and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Requires an AMA-approved Respiratory Therapy program and an accredited associate degree.
• Current state license to practice as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
• BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required within 30 days of hire.
• One year of respiratory therapy experience preferred.
• English reading and speaking proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs in respiratory therapy and provide recommendations to attending physicians.
• Administer therapies such as oxygen, bronchodilators, chest percussion, and CPT.
• Document all procedures in the EMR per SOP.
• Perform cardiopulmonary diagnostics per physician orders (ABG, ECG, pulse oximetry, PFT).
• Manage life support modalities including invasive/noninvasive ventilation and CPAP.
