Job summary

MedStar Health is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to deliver comprehensive respiratory care in an acute care setting in Maryland. You will follow physician orders, monitor equipment, perform pulmonary function tests and manage airway support as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications include an Associate's degree in respiratory care with registry eligibility, CRT certification, CPR/NRP/ACLS within 1 year where required, and a willingness to work in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in respiratory care; registry eligible if required.
• CRT certification required; RRT preferred.
• ACLS/NRP/PALS and CPR certifications required within 1 year where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care per physician orders following standards and protocols.
• Assess patient needs and document educational requirements and psychosocial dimensions.
• Operate, monitor and manage all respiratory care equipment and services.
• Respond to emergencies and participate in CPR with airway management and ventilation.
