Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate degree in respiratory care required; AMA-accredited program
• Bachelors degree in related healthcare field preferred
• Licensure as RCP in MD/DC; CRT required; ACLS/NRP/PALS certifications commonly required

Responsibilities

• Contributes to department goals and adheres to policies, procedures, safety standards.
• Assesses physical, psychosocial, spiritual, and cultural dimensions; documents education needs.
• Performs respiratory therapies including oxygen, humidity, ventilation, bronchial hygiene, spirometry, arterial blood gas testing.
• Maintains airway management and performs CPR when needed; responds during emergencies.
• Reviews EMRs and physician orders; supports interdepartmental workflow and improvements.
