Job summary

Greater Baltimore Medical Center (GBMC) seeks a patient care assistant to support physical therapy services. Under direct supervision, you will prepare patients and equipment for treatments, assist with therapies, observe responses, and report status changes to a therapist.

You will also help maintain supplies and support administrative tasks in the department, while meeting safety and infection-control standards.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• 3 months healthcare experience preferred.
• Knowledge of standard patient care and health care system policies.

Responsibilities

• Assists with patient care under direct supervision of a therapist or assistant.
• Gait and ambulation support and functional activities.
• Prep of patient rooms and treatment spaces; transport of patients.
• Take patient vitals and report changes to therapist.
• Assist with administrative tasks and office duties as needed.
• Maintain department inventory and supplies.
