Job summary

Tenet Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide bedside nursing care to a group of patients under minimal supervision in a Texas facility. You will complete competencies within the introductory period and perform related duties as assigned.

Responsibilities include comprehensive patient assessment, care planning, timely interventions, medication administration, and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Texas State RN license.
• BLS certification required; ACLS within 60 days of hire.
• PALS/NRP/S.T.A.B.L.E. expectations within specified timelines.
• CPR/AHA healthcare provider credentials as required.

Responsibilities

• Assesses human responses and adaptation to health problems of patient, family, and significant others.
• Initiates a care plan based on initial assessment; implements interventions and reevaluates patient needs.
• Recognizes changing patient condition and utilizes unit resources, RRT, and chain of command.
• Prioritizes information to take immediate patient-focused action.
• Maintains physiologic stability of patients.
• Documents all plans and care provided.
• Education for patient and family through instruction and materials.
• Assigns care to licensed staff and delegates to unlicensed staff; coordinates workflow.
• Calculates and administers medications.
