Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare West in Houston, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse Rapid Response to deliver high-quality, time-sensitive care for patients across the hospital. You will join an experienced team that supports each other and values patient safety.

Responsibilities include responding to Rapid Response calls, Code Blue, Sepsis, and Stroke, coordinating with charge nurses, monitoring postsurgical patients, and educating staff as needed.

Qualifications

• ACLS and Basic Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• ANCC certification for Magnet-recognized organizations must be obtained by hire or within 1 year of employment.
• NIH Stroke Scale must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
• PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date.
• ICU experience required.

Responsibilities

• Respond for Rapid Response calls, Code Blue, Code Sepsis, and Code Stroke.
• Communicate daily with charge nurses to identify high risk patients.
• Monitor surgery schedule and rounds on at-risk post-op patients.
• Provide education and support to staff as needed.
