Qualifications

• At least 1 year of nursing experience in an acute care setting.

Position Purpose

Reporting to the Director, the IMC Registered Nurse must demonstrate the passion to provide bedside care to a diverse and acutely ill population of patients. The Registered Nurse should possess the knowledge and skill of how-to safety apply the nursing process to assess, plan and evaluate the care of patients with various health conditions.

Unit Overview

This 30-bed unit provides care for high-acuity patients across a wide spectrum of complex specialties. Comorbidities are diverse and patients often require cardiac telemetry monitoring and/or mechanical ventilator support. Unit equipped with two negative pressure rooms and patient lift assist equipment in all rooms. On-site Nurse educator. Acute/Critical Care course for nurses who are new to the acute, in-patient population.

As a Registered Nurse you will

Minimum Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program; basic professional nursing degree required (BSN preferred).
• Note, if the BSN or MSN degree is not present on hire, the employee must sign an agreement to obtain within a specific time frame.
• Current licensure by the Maryland State Board of Nursing or Compact State as a Registered Nurse.
• BLS certification (issued through the American Heart Association).
• At least 1 year of nursing experience in an acute care setting.
• Superb interpersonal, communication and collaboration abilities.
• Competency in electronic patient management systems.

Payment Range

Pay Range: $40.09 – $57.35. Pay is based on experience, skills and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
