Job summary

Virtua is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to support acute care across divisions. The float position runs Sunday through Thursday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, providing rehabilitative treatments under the supervision of a physical therapist.

You will document patient progress, assist with operations, coordinate with the care team and families, and ensure timely, compliant records are maintained according to department guidelines.

Qualifications

• Minimum of Physical Therapy Assistant Associate degree from a program accredited by the APTA.

Responsibilities

• Consults with medical and other team members to provide quality patient care and operations.
• Provides PT interventions consistent with the care plan and gives feedback to the PT.
• Maintains patient records and documentation in a timely manner per guidelines.
• Utilizes aides and support staff effectively.
• Educates patient/family per age, condition, and cultural needs.
