Job summary

Advocate Sherman Hospital – Acute Care Rehabilitation is seeking a full-time Physical Therapist to deliver high-quality, compassionate patient care in an acute care setting.

Requires Doctorate in Physical Therapy and IL licensure; EPIC EMR experience preferred. The role includes 5 days/week with two evenings per week and one weekend day every 4 weeks, plus potential summer/holiday coverage. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is offered for full-time hire.

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
• Licensed Physical Therapist in the state where you work; BLS for Healthcare Providers.
• Previous acute care work preferred.
• Intermediate computer skills; good communication and organization.
• Ability to provide patient-centered care across ages.

Responsibilities

• Interpret physician referrals and complete musculoskeletal, neuromuscular, cardiopulmonary, and/or integumentary evaluations.
• Develop and implement plans of care with functional goals; monitor outcomes and adjust as needed.
• Plan for discharge, provide home programs and patient/family teaching.
• Document thoroughly per department policy and timelines; ensure billing and scheduling accuracy.
• Assist with supervision of staff and students as needed.
