Job summary

Washington Regional Medical System seeks a Physical Therapist to evaluate and treat hospitalized patients, planning individualized care that improves mobility and discharge readiness.

You will work with physicians, nurses, and other therapists to coordinate care, reassess progress, and adjust plans. The role emphasizes patient education, safety, and documentation, within a team-focused hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited physical therapy program is required.
• Current Arkansas Physical Therapy license is required.
• Current CPR certification is required.
• Experience in hospital-based, acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, or similar clinical PT practice preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and develop individualized care plans.
• Provide interventions to improve mobility, strength, balance, endurance, and pain management.
• Regularly reassess progress and modify treatment plans toward discharge goals.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing, and other therapy teams to coordinate care and transitions.
• Educate patients and families on mobility strategies and home exercise programs.
• Maintain timely and complete clinical documentation of evaluations and progress.
