Job summary

Washington Regional Medical System seeks a Physical Therapist to evaluate, plan, and implement individualized therapy for hospitalized patients. You will support mobility, functional independence, and safe discharge outcomes through evidence-based interventions and ongoing reassessment.

The role requires graduation from an accredited PT program, a current Arkansas PT license, and CPR certification, with hospital-based experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited physical therapy program is required.
• Current Arkansas Physical Therapy license is required.
• Current CPR certification is required.
• Hospital-based or acute care experience with medically complex patients is preferred.
• Ability to collaborate with physicians, nursing, and therapy teams is essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive PT evaluations and develop individualized plans of care.
• Provide interventions to improve mobility, strength, balance, and functional independence.
• Reassess progress and adjust plans and discharge recommendations as needed.
• Educate patients and families on mobility strategies and home exercise programs.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation reflecting evaluation, intervention, progress, and discharge planning.
