Job summary

St. Luke's University Health Network is seeking an Acute Care Physical Therapist to evaluate plans and administer PT treatment for referred patients in acute care settings. You will aim to restore function, relieve pain and prevent disability following illness or injury.

You will document progress, develop realistic goals, supervise PTs and aides, and participate in discharge planning and home programs. A licensed PT with CPR certification is required; a doctorate is preferred.

Qualifications

• Initial patient evaluations documented thoroughly and timely.
• Ability to establish realistic short- and long-term goals with patients.
• CPR certification maintained and licensure current in required state.

Responsibilities

• Performs and documents initial patient evaluations thoroughly and accurately.
• Implements progressive treatment programs and monitors outcomes.
• Supervises PTs, PTAs, and aides; participates in discharge planning.
• Documents progress notes and discharge summaries in a timely manner.
• Attends multidisciplinary meetings and supports quality initiatives.
