Job summary

St. Luke's University Health Network is seeking an Acute Care Physical Therapist to evaluate patient plans and administer physical therapy treatment programs in an acute care setting.

The role covers pediatric to geriatric populations and includes patient evaluation, goal setting, therapeutic exercises, and coordination of discharge planning. Responsibilities include supervising PTAs and aides, documenting progress, and contributing to quality improvement initiatives while maintaining licensure

Qualifications

• Current Physical Therapist license in the State of Pennsylvania or New Jersey, based on work location.
• Doctorate Degree preferred.
• Current CPR certification.
• Successful completion of required affiliations and/or CEU's to maintain licensure.

Responsibilities

• Performs and documents initial patient evaluations in a timely fashion.
• Establishes realistic short- and long-term goals for patients.
• Performs therapeutic exercises and implements progressive treatment programs.
• Administers modalities such as heat/cold packs, ultrasound, massage, and electrical stimulation.
• Supervises PTAs and aides on-site; orients new staff.
• Assists in discharge planning and home-program instruction for patients and families.
• Accurately bills for services and schedules patient appointments.
• Attends multidisciplinary meetings and participates in quality improvement initiatives.

Education

Current Physical Therapist license in PA or NJ
