Job summary

LewisGale Medical Center in Salem, Virginia, is seeking an Acute Care Physical Therapist to join our inpatient team. You will manage assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, and deliver patient-centered therapy across the continuum of care.

We offer a relocation bonus up to $10,000 and a comprehensive benefits package. Current Virginia licensure as a Physical Therapist and BLS within 30 days are required; 1+ year inpatient rehab experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy
• Currently licensed as a Physical Therapist in the state of practice
• BLS within 30 days of employment
• Preferred: 1+ year experience in Physical Therapy
• Preferred: 1+ year experience in direct inpatient rehab

Responsibilities

• Provide and direct the majority of patient’s physical therapy to support the continuum of care.
• Perform patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Coordinate with physicians and the care team to focus on goals and patient experience.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Physical Therapist (PT) provides high quality, patient-centered care by managing the complete process of therapeutic care of an assigned group of patients, in coordination with the physician and the patient care team. The Physical Therapist completes patient assessments, and participates in developing and implementing individualized care plans, focusing on goal achievement, patient engagement, and positive patient experience. The Physical Therapist provides or directs a majority of the patient’s physical therapy to support patients throughout the continuum of care.

What qualifications you will need:

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy
• Currently licensed as a Physical Therapist in the state(s) of practice, in accordance with law and regulation.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) (within 30 days of employment)

Preferred:

• 1+ years experience in Physical Therapy
• 1+ years experience in direct inpatient rehab
