HCA Florida Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a PRN/per diem role to support patient-centered goals and assist with rehabilitation services.

As part of the acute care team, you will work under the supervision of an occupational therapist to adapt therapies, document progress, and contribute to positive patient outcomes while delivering compassionate care.

Qualifications

• COTA certification and Florida licensure.
• Graduate of an accredited OTA program.
• Ability to coordinate and adjust treatment plans under OT supervision.

Responsibilities

• Follow established treatment plans to improve ADLs and IADLs.
• Record and monitor clinical data, informing OT of progress.
• Adapt therapies under OT direction to meet patient needs.
• Participate in rounds and address patient needs to improve outcomes.

Job Summary And Qualifications

We are currently looking for an ambitious Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team on a PRN/per diem/as-needed basis. As a COTA on our team, you will assist with the coordination of patient-centered and occupational-based goals to ensure diagnostic and therapeutic services and rehabilitation which are provided to our patients. Your duties and responsibilities may include:

• Accurately follow established treatment plan to set measurable and achievable goals to reach maximum functional independence for Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs)
• Record, monitor, and review clinical data, providing feedback to Occupational Therapist regarding possible modifications to treatment plan and goals based upon patient performance
• Within scope of practice and under the direction of the Occupational Therapist, adapt recognized therapeutic techniques and modalities to meet the needs of the patient
• Participate in rounding and proactively respond to patient needs to improve patient outcomes and positively affect overall patient experience

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support
• Licensed (COTA) Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant in the state of Florida
• Graduate of an accredited school of occupational therapy assistance
