Mass General Brigham's Newton-Wellesley Hospital seeks an Occupational Therapist (per diem) for the acute care inpatient setting, covering weekday and weekend shifts. The role involves assessments, plan development, and ongoing therapy with adult med/surg patients.

Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and therapists; educate patients and families; maintain records; and participate in ongoing professional development and orientation programs.

Formación

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy is required.
• At least 1 year of clinical experience in acute care/acute rehab/home care preferred; new graduates with suitable experience may be considered.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct assessments of patients' physical, mental, and developmental abilities.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessments.
• Implement and monitor treatment plans, adjusting as needed.
• Provide education to patients and their families about therapeutic activities and exercises they can do at home.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and physical therapists to provide comprehensive care.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and progress notes.
• Attend staff meetings, continuing education programs, and professional development activities.
