Job summary

Navicent Health Medical Center, 3 West Medical/Surgical unit, seeks an energetic full-time nurse aide for night shifts. The role includes comprehensive patient care, vitals monitoring, and collaboration with the care team.

Hours are 36 per week with three 12-hour nights and alternating weekends; benefits eligible. Requires compassionate care, strong documentation, and adherence to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Provide personal care and basic nursing support following unit standards.
• Accurately document intake/output and vital signs in the charting tool.
• Maintain patient safety, confidentiality, and infection control practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform bed baths, oral hygiene, linen changes and hair care.
• Assist with pre/post-op care and patient transfers.
• Monitor vital signs and glucose via fingerstick; report abnormalities.
• Position patients, assist with ambulation, and manage patient belongings.
• Maintain clean, safe patient areas and proper equipment handling.
• Utilize discharge and transfer processes as needed.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families and staff.
