Corewell Health's Trenton Hospital is seeking a Nurse Supervisor to lead nursing staff and coordinate patient care across urgent, emergency, inpatient, and operative services. The role involves directing resources, ensuring safety and quality, and collaborating with care management and medical staff to enhance throughput.

The position requires a BSN, at least three years of clinical nursing experience, and leadership experience for internal or external applicants.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) required.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Three years of relevant clinical nursing experience required.
• One year of relevant formal nursing leadership experience required for external applicants.
• One year of relevant informal leadership experience required for internal applicants (e.g., Charge Lead Nurse).
• MI Registered Nurse (RN) required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and organizes personnel and resources to meet patient care functions.
• Collaborates to provide crisis management and ensure timely communication between departments.
• Represents leadership across venues on a 24-hour basis and supports decision-making for the leadership team.
• Ensures continuous and timely access to urgent care, emergency, inpatient, and operative services.
• Monitors daily operations by integrating data from systems and rounds to assure care effectiveness.
• Allocates resources to maintain safety and quality of patient care.
• Guides patient admissions flow to maximize capacity and satisfaction.
• Promotes interdepartmental collaboration to ensure smooth patient throughput.
