Penn Medicine is dedicated to our tripartite mission of providing the highest level of care, conducting innovative research, and educating future leaders in medicine. Working at this leading academic medical center involves collaboration with top professionals across disciplines.
We have an exciting opportunity for Nurse Practitioners and/or Physician Assistants to join the Cardiology Advanced Practice (CAP-Service) team, specifically the CAP-Interventional Cardiology APP team. This team cares for patients with advanced structural heart disease requiring interventional procedures such as TAVRs, TMVRs, TTVRs, and complex interventional cardiology cath lab procedures for ischemic heart disease.
The APPs are cross-trained to also work with the advanced heart failure (CAP-HF) team, caring for patients with advanced cardiovascular conditions, including those requiring mechanical circulatory support, heart transplants, or with complications related to transplantation.
The team primarily manages patients in the cardiac progressive care unit, including those requiring pulmonary artery catheter placement and hemodynamic monitoring. This high-paced inpatient service involves comprehensive care, including admissions, daily management, and discharge planning.
