Responsibilities

• Manages staffing assignments for oncoming and off going shifts based on patient acuity and team member skills.
• Coordinates patient flow with Administrative Supervisors, Care Coordinators, and Discharge Planners to achieve expected outcomes.
• Monitors overall status of patients and particularly seriously ill patients within area of responsibility.
• Leads safety huddles and supports clinical leadership initiatives and staff development.
• Coaches and mentors the nursing team; fosters a positive work environment and collaboration.
• Ensures compliance with physician orders and Hospital policies; supports care coordination and patient length of stay goals.
• Maintains equipment readiness and allocates resources to ensure efficient patient care.

Education

Bachelor in Nursing Degree (BSN) preferred
