Job summary

Wellstar Health System in the Southeast seeks an advanced practice provider (NP or PA) to support the Department of Surgery, Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, in ambulatory and inpatient settings.

Responsibilities include managing weekly clinics, examining patients, planning procedures with the physician lead, obtaining informed consent, assisting in the operating room, and performing postoperative visits with patient education materials.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in nursing required for NP eligibility.
• ANCC certification for NP or GA license for APP.
• Current BLS certification and credentialing required.

Responsibilities

• Practice as a stand-alone provider by managing weekly clinic.
• Examine patients and determine need for surgery and plan procedures with physician lead.
• Obtain informed consent and coordinate preoperative education with schedulers and RNs.
