Job summary

Wellstar Health System is hiring an(APP/PA) for the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery to provide patient-centered care in ambulatory and inpatient settings. Duties include clinic management, preoperative planning, and OR assistance across a multi-specialty plastic surgery team.

The position requires NP with RN credentials or PA-C, current BLS, and credentialing, with duties spanning clinic, surgery scheduling, and postoperative follow-up.

Qualifications

• Nurse Practitioner with an advanced practice license or PA-C with certification.
• Master's degree in nursing or physician assistant program accreditation required.
• Credentialing and BLS certification must be current.

Responsibilities

• Practice as a stand-alone provider by managing weekly clinic.
• Examine patients and diagnose for surgical need.
• Review medical history and plan procedures with physician lead.
• Complete preoperative steps including informed consent and scheduling.
• Perform postoperative visits for select patients as directed.
• Conduct ambulatory procedures for various surgical diagnoses and wound care.
• First assist in the operating room as needed.
• Support educational activities and programs for the Plastics clinic.
